About Us

My Family Butterfly is an upcoming non-profit organization created by students at several Universities such as BYU, SU and Stanford. Several studies have shown that good family connections are what make one of the biggest impacts on a child's life. The organization will give several opportunities to help families in need and keep them together. One special way to do this will be to become a "Family Butterfly" where you can give support to a family in need while also creating a personal relationship with them by doing things such as writing notes to your family.

Please join us as we work to bring this wonderful organization to life. See the main page or e-mail familybutterfly@gmail.com to find ways you can help support this process.

Part of our inspiration comes from a quote written on the back side of a drawing of a Butterfly drawn by our dear friend Josh Ward.
At 16, Josh lead an admirable life. He loved his family. He also cared for his friends and loved to serve people. In 2009, on the last day of school; he was driving home and was killed in a car accident. His life has inspired many to do a little more and be a little better.
On the back of one of his many doodles, Josh had written:
"Make every decision with thought
You don't know what tangent path
It'll throw you on
The butterfly (will) affect your world"

Every little decision we make and every little service we do can make the world a better place. With little donations and constant love and support, we can bring and keep families together.
