Japan

So I had planned something else to write about today, but I just can't stop thinking about Japan. I was watching the news last night with my family. My heart goes out to them.
I am amazed at the culture of the people there though. As these newscasters went and interviewed those that are now homeless because of the earthquake and tsunami, they were offered food. Specifically there was an old man with just a bag of some sort of bread who offered it to them. You could tell he had very little because of the disaster, but that didn't stop him from caring about other people. The unity and thoughtfulness of the Japanese people is very touching.
I am also very grateful for all of the families who have been able to find each other and be reunited, but my thoughts are with those who have lost loved ones or are still unsure of their safety.
Please continue to keep Japan in your thoughts (and if you are religious: your prayers)
Allow good things to come of this disaster- let it remind you to hug your family closer and tell them you love them. Allow it to remember others and learn from the unity and selflessness of these people.

I wish I could find the exact news clip from last night, but both of these are also very moving and touching. (if anyone knows which news clip I'm talking about and knows where to find it please let me know)
