"Baby face!"

Today was kind of a long day.
Finals for winter quarter and the general rotation of the earth were giving me a bit of a hard time, and while I typically enjoy the endless gray rain of Seattle, today it had me a bit glum.

I wasn't sure how to pull myself out of the slump that I found myself in, so I sent a text to my cousin in search of some kind of pick-me-up. He lives a few states away, and although he's a few years older than me we're very close. He has a daughter, almost two now (although I can hardly believe that!), and I'm fairly convinced she is the most adorable little girl on the face of the planet. I see a lot of myself as a child in her, and I'm incredibly excited to see the beautiful woman that she will one day become.

What I got from my cousin was an adorable picture of his little girl, with a message reading, "Pick-me-up? Baby face!"

Family is a foundation, family is something that is always there. Family is a never ending support system. I know that I need mine, and I want to make sure that other people can feel that support.
