For this week's BE YOU, I want to write a little about my roommate, Mike. His mom and sister are visiting for the week. It seems like there is so much to say about them. When they arrived early this week, Mike drove all the way out to San Francisco from Palo Alto to pick them up from the airport and get them settled into their hotel. Since then, he has been spending any spare time between classes and homework with them - showing them around campus, taking them for a day out in San Francisco, eating meals with them. On top of that, they have spent time in our room hanging out and just enjoying each other's company.
The most interesting thing for me to see has been the mother-son bonding. During the visit, Mike's mom cut his hair and even told him to clean his room (to which of course his sister replied that her room is even messier!). Mike is very blessed to have them come visit, and I'm sure he will be sad to see them go in a couple days.
