So yesterday was Valentine ’s Day. It seems to be known as the most cliché holiday, it either has a very positive connotation or a very negative one. It’s a hard day to go through if you’re feeling single and lonely. But I honestly don’t think that’s what it should be about.
I was sitting in my apartment today when I heard a knock. It was my roommates dad bringing her a vase full of flowers. My dad too gets me chocolates or other valentine things every year. I think Valentine’s day should always be more like that. More about family.
But not everyone has family or friends to spend holidays with like that. Some may really feel alone. I wish everyone knew that someone, somewhere loves them.
I have hundreds of “favorite” songs, all of different genres, and of different personal meaning, but if I had to choose just ONE song that meant the most to me, was the most life changing, or the most personal, it would probably be the song “You are loved” by Josh Groban. What a beautiful song. And a true one. I know every person, no matter who they are or where they are, is loved. And I wish they knew that. Please watch this music video and then tell the people that you love that they ARE LOVED (even if you did yesterday). And then remember, YOU are loved too.
